Bollywood's new babe Neetu Chandra, who is linked to the match fixing scandal, has denied all allegations and any links with tainted Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif.
Neetu, who acted in 'Garam Masala', 'Traffic Signal', 'Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye', 'Rann' and 'Apartment' was quizzed by the ICC's anti-corruption and security unit. Neetu said she did not even know Mohammad Asif.
According to previous media reports, Neetu Chandra's cell number was found in the call records of Mohammad Asif during the investigation, which led the investigators to zero in her. The documents were leaked to the Press.
It was shown that Neetu Chandra had two conversations of about two minutes each with Asif. Asif's ex-girlfriend Veena Malik also confirmed that the cricketer had links with Neetu and used to talk to her for long.
Neetu denied having any phone conversations with Mohammad Asid and said she did not have any interest in cricket and never talked to any Pakistani cricketer.
Dale Bhagwagar, who takes all media queries on Neetu's behalf, said that Neetu had not even seen Asif's photograph. "When I showed Asif's photograph, Neetu almost jumped from her chair, joking, 'He's too dark'. She never met Asif, Dale claimed.
Bhagwagar questioned the leaked document, saying how it can be termed as authentic. Neetu wants an Indian agency to probe the matter and come up with the truth.
